CMTS are back with another fun packed Panto for all ages to enjoy.

Jump into the rabbit hole and join Alice in Wonderland! How mad is the Mad Hatter? Will the White Rabbit ever be on time? Did anyone actually steal the Queen of Hearts jam tarts?

Alice meets Duchess Dolly Dollop and Wally the White Rabbit, as they guide Alice through Wonderland and round up all of their friends to take on the Evil Queen of Hearts and save Wonderland!

This is a community production staged by Clacton Musical Theatre Society.

The Sooty Show

Celebrating 75 amazing years in show business, Sooty, Sweep and Soo are planning a very special birthday party and you’re all invited. However, in true Sooty style nothing goes to plan! The party preparations are well underway: Sooty gets messy baking the birthday cake, Soo’s trying to find the perfect party dress, and Sweep’s practising his dance moves and needs some boys and girls to join in with musical statues! Sooty is planning his biggest magic trick yet making a member of the audience float in the air! Oh, and watch out for Sooty’s new water pistol. It’s turbocharged to reach right to the back of the theatre, so don’t forget your raincoat!

The special guests are on their way-Butch the bulldog, Ramsbottom the snake and circus superstar Michael Jordan, who joins us direct from Blackpool’s famous Tower Circus to stun us with his jaw-dropping juggling! With buckets of audience participation and gallons of giggles, this spectacular celebration of the longest-running children’s television show in the world will delight Sooty fans old and new and is a must-see treat for the whole family. Plus–join us after the show to meet Richard and Sooty!

Rent follows the ups and downs of a year in the life of a group of impoverished, artistic friends living in Manhattan’s East Village. Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, struggles to find his place in the world; his roommate Roger, an HIV-positive musician, wonders how he will leave his mark before he dies. Mimi and Angel look for true love as they face the harsh reality of life as HIV-positive young people, while the business-like Joanne seeks fidelity from her wild-child performance artist girlfriend Maureen. The group’s dreams, losses, and love stories weave through the musical’s narration to paint a stunningly raw and emotional portrait of the gritty bohemian world of New York City in the late 1980s, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

This show features Adult Themes including same Sex Intimacy & Drug Abuse and is not suitable for under 16s.
