To mark Remembrance Sunday, we open the 1940s songbook and remember the stars who kept us smiling through our darkest days.

Spirit of the Blitz recaptures the tenacious optimism of war-torn Britain on the long road towards peace, paying tribute to our heroes through the music of their era.

Sing along to swinging hits like Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree, Bless ‘Em All, Leaning On A Lamp-Post, and of course, We’ll Meet Again.

Starring Andy Eastwood, Helen Farrell and Steve Barclay, this feel-good show recreates all your forties favourites, including Vera Lynn, George Formby, Max Miller, Arthur Askey, Anne Shelton and Gracie Fields.

For those who remember the 40s, the show is a trip down memory lane; for those who don’t, it’s a Sentimental Journey back through time to the glorious melodies and good clean comedy that accompanied a dogged nation’s battle for survival.

Remember a generation of loved ones in the uplifting style that most reflects their resilient spirit.

This unmissable performance is devised and produced by Andy Eastwood, with musical direction by Wendy Richardson.

Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is the star of The Supervet on Channel 4 and YouTube. He is a world-leading, world-record-breaking vet, and best-selling author. He has filled arenas with his live tours – offering audiences feel-good stories, and unique perspectives on life informed by his love of animals. Now he’s hitting the road, with a completely new show combining his passion for both animals and music. Mentored by some of rock’s greatest heroes, Noel has formed a band featuring several of Britain’s best musicians. On an evening of live entertainment you will never forget, he’ll be mixing anecdotes from his life as a vet with his favourite rock music, delivering a unique and heady cocktail of medicine and music – another world-first and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
