T.Rextasy have now been performing around the world for over 25 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex. CADS in partnership with Tendring Brass are delighted to present Brassed off, the multi-award winning play which follows the heart tugging fortunes of a colliery brass band.
It’s 1994 and the lifeblood of Grimleys community is threatened when the pit looks set for closure. The loss of 1200 jobs also signifies the end for the colliery’s long-standing and close-knitt brass band. But as loyalties are questioned and political and personal pressures erupt, can the band ever reach the national championships?
