Matinee Performance
SATURDAY 1ST JUNE 2024 2.30pm
To mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we delve into the 1940s songbook for a tribute to the legendary stars who kept us smiling through our darkest days. Spirit of the Blitz recaptures the tenacious optimism of war-torn Britain.
Sing along to swinging hits like Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree, Bless ‘Em All, Leaning On A Lamp-Post, and of course, We’ll Meet Again.
Starring Andy Eastwood, Maggie O’Hara and Pete Lindup, this feel-good variety show recreates all your forties favourites, including Vera Lynn, George Formby, Max Miller, Bing Crosby, Anne Shelton and Gracie Fields… A truly heart-warming afternoon of live music and laughter, accompanied by the superb Phil Jeffery Band, featuring Wendy Richardson at the keys.
For those who remember the 1940s, Spirit Of The Blitz is a trip down memory lane; for those who don’t, it’s a Sentimental Journey back through time to the glorious melodies and good clean comedy that accompanied a dogged nation’s battle for survival.
Why not bring a party to enjoy this afternoon of pure nostalgia?

WHAT DOES THE i MEAN ON THE PLAN?
The i denotes that seats are close to the main sound speakers. Your view of the stage will not be affected in these seats but sound levels will be a little louder for some shows.
