Rotary Carol Concert

SUNDAY 29th NOVEMBER 3.00pm

This performance is scheduled to last 1 Hour and 30 minutes. There will be NO interval and the Stage Door Bar will be closed. No ticket required, just turn up on the day.

The Rotary club return for their annual carol concert at the West Cliff with a wonderful afternoon of traditional songs, featuring Tendring Brass. They will be joined by the Chase Lane Primary School choir and The Octavia choir from Colchester.

A collection will be taken on the day, which helps to fund Christmas Day meals for the elderly and disadvantaged.

9-piece tribute band, Very Beautiful South, are the UKs most authentic tribute to The Beautiful South and the genius songwriting partnership of Paul Heaton & David Rotheray. Between 1989 and 2006, The Beautiful South clocked up no less than 20 UK Top 30 hits with most making it into the UK Top-10, including the No.1 hit A Little Time and other classic songs such as: Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Old Red Eyes, Good As Gold, and Don’t Marry Her; not to mention their Greatest Hits album, Carry On Up The Charts, which sold just under 2-million copies – making it the second highest selling album of 1994 and which went on to stay in the UK Album Top-30 for the whole of 1995 – achieving no less than six Platinum Disks!

Performed by The Goldstar band, Eddie Cochran’s music will take centre stage, but to add to the nostalgia, you will also hear music from the likes of Gene Vincent, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown, Vince Eager, Ricky Nelson, Elvis, Duane Eddy and the Everly Brothers.

The four-piece band have toured worldwide in their individual rights and have worked with some of the biggest names of that decade.
